General information about Lily (Lilium):
Lily (Lilium) is a bulbous plant with large, often scented flowers. They can stay in the same spot for many years, but better is to move them every 4-5 years and split them up. Lilies like a humus rich, fertile and well-draining soil. They also like a cool soil which can be achieved by planting them between ground covering plants. Lily is attractive to the Lily beetle. These are bright red beetles which, as their larva, love eating the foliage. They are best removed by hand.
