General information about Flax (Linum):
Flax (Linum) prefers a spot in the sun in a light, well-draining alkaline soil. Too much moisture in winter has to be avoided. Flax is a nice plant for in the rockery or in the front of the border. The individual flowers do not flower for long, but there are many of them. Flax can self-seed, which is a good thing as the plant usually only lives for a few years.
