Mannstreu ist eine artenreiche Pflanzengattung, die aus Bienen- und Schmetterlingspflanzen besteht, die einen trockenen, sonnigen Standort auf fast allen Bodenarten im Garten mögen. Mannstreu besitzt Arten mit schönen silbergrauen oder blauen Blütenköpfen und Hüllblättern. Die meisten Mannstreu-Arten können auch gut als Schnitt- und Trockenblumen verwendet werden.
