Mapleleaf Tickfoil (Mukdenia) is a small genus of ground covering plants with Acer like leaves. Mapleleaf Tickfoil prefers a spot in (half)shade in normal to moist soil. Over time it will form a nice mat. Some cultivars have been grown which display nice red autumn colours. Mapleleaf Tickfoil combines well with Drumstick Primrose (Primula denticulata) and Lily of the Valley (Convallaria).
