Marsh Orchid (Dactylorhiza) is a genus of orchids of which a few species grow within the wild in Europe. In our country they are all protected species. Fortunately, Marsh Orchid is also being grown commercially and through our shop you can buy these very hardy plants. Marsh Orchid prefers a moist soil and a sunny position. It will put up with some shade. Marsh Orchid does not tolerate any lime in the soil and adding some peat helps. It can take a few years before Marsh Orchid will flower.
