Milium - Millet

Milium is a mat forming grass that does well in half shade in not too dry soil, slightly acidic. Especially the cultivar 'Aureum' with its yellow/green foliage is beautiful in spring. The plant will lighten up those dark corners in your garden. Milium looks good underneath trees and large shrubs, where it can self-seed without becoming a nuisance. If you have too many seedlings, they are easily recognizable and easily removed. Milium planted in combination with Brunnera makes a nice, fresh and bright display in spring.
