General information about Wire Vine (Muehlenbeckia):
Wire Vine (Muehlenbeckia) is a genus of about 20 species of plants with relatively small round leaves. They originate from the Southern Hemisphere where they are evergreen. With us, Wire Vine is hardy, but most will drop their leaves in winter. Wire Vine likes light shade and normal soil. The species 'axillaris' is also used as a house plant and then it is green all year round.
