Muscari

Muscari - Grape Hyacinth

Muscari is the botanical name for Grape hyacinths, we are all familiar with. It is a bulbous plant which, once established, faithfully returns every spring. In a good location, Muscari sometimes expands en masse by means of seed and young bulbs. Muscari prefers sun to partial shade, on a normal soil. Muscari can be nicely combined with other spring bloomers such as Tulipa and Narcissus. Muscari also does well when planted between ground covers such as Waldsteinia and Vinca minor.
