General information about Sweet Cecily (Myrrhis):
Sweet Cecily (Myrrhis) is a genus of umbel forming plants. They like a position in the sun or half shade in soil which does not dry out. Sweet Cecily smells pleasantly like aniseed. Many insects are attracted to the plants. The white umbel's look great against a dark background. The deeply cut leaves look good next to foliage plants such as Hosta (Hosta) and Coral Bells (Heuchera). For use in the kitchen, Sweet Cecily odorata is useful.
