Nachtviole  (Hesperis)

Nachtviole ist eine Pflanze mit, vor allem abends, angenehm duftenden Blüten. Wenn Sie sie in eine Vase stellen möchten, sollten Sie sie erst am Abend schneiden. Die Nachtviole wächst am liebsten an einem Standort in der Sonne auf normalem bis feuchtem Boden mit ausreichend Nährstoffen. Die Nachtviole passt sehr gut in einen Cottage-Garten, in dem sie sich frei aussähen kann. Letzteres ist ideal, da die Nachtviole nur einige Jahre lebt.

Dame's Violet (Hesperis) is a plant with lovely scented flowers, especially in the evenings. If you want to cut them for in a vase, do not cut them till the evening. Dame's Violet prefers a spot in the sun in normal to moist, fertile soil. Dame's Violet is a perfect cottage garden where they can self-seed. This is just as well as Dame's Violet often will only live for a few years.
