New Zealand Flax

New Zealand Flax  (Phormium)

New Zealand Flax (Phormium) is a clump forming perennial, mainly kept for its multi coloured foliage. New Zealand Flax is not hardy everywhere and will benefit from some protection in its first few winters. New Zealand Flax likes good, normally moist soil and a spot in the sun or half shade. When grown in a pot it is good to give New Zealand Flax some extra fertilizer between May and September.
