Orlaya - White Laceflower

Orlaya is a small genus of plants with nice umbels of white flowers. They used to be found throughout Europe but because of intensive farming Orlaya has become quite rare and even disappeared from many areas. For in the garden, the species 'grandiflora' is most suited. Orlaya likes a spot in the sun in soil which may be quite dry. Use Orlaya in the border, weaving in-between other plants. Unfortunately, Orlaya is an annual, but in most places it will self-seed enough to maintain a presence.
