General information about River Star (Gomphostigma):River Star (Gomphostigma) is a winter green half shrub which will grow up to about 1.5 m tall. The shrub somewhat resembles broom. River Star has silver grey foliage and white flowers. The name River Star indicates that the plant likes moist soil although not wet. Especially in the winter the plant may be a bit dryer. River Star is not fully hardy with us, so cover them in the winter or plant them in a large plant which can be brought inside. River Star is very much liked by butterflies and other insects.Otterbush - Gomphostigma virgatum
