General information about Nailwort (Paronychia):
Nailwort (Paronychia) is a genus of low growing and ground covering plants for in the full sun. Most species are not fully hardy with us. An exception here is Silver Nailwort (Paronychia kapela serpyllifolia). Make sure the soil drains well, especially in winter. A spot in the rockery is ideal. The flowers of Nailwort have a ring of silver coloured leaves around the white flowers.
