Perovskia - Russian Sage

Perovskia is a deciduous half-shrub which is very useful in the border. They form grey coloured stems and foliage and blue/violet flowers. Perovskia likes the full sun and quite dry, well-draining soil. When Perovskia get too large it is best to cut them back in April down to 10 to 20 cm above ground level. Perovskia is good to use as a grey/blue rest point in a colourful border, or combined with Roses or ornamental grasses.
