Pestwurz ist eine Staude für einen feuchten, nährstoffreichen Boden – ideal für Grabenrand oder Ufer. Die Pestwurz wuchert, dämmen Sie die Pflanze also, wenn nötig, ein. Im Vorfrühling erscheinen erst die Blüten und danach die Blätter. Kombinieren Sie die Pestwurz z. B. mit Goldkolben (Ligularia), Schlickgras (Spartina) und Kerzenknöterich (Persicaria amplexicaulis).

General information about Butterbur (Petasites):
Butterbur (Petasites) is a perennial for in moist, rich soil. It is ideal along a water's edge. Butterbur is invasive, so a root barrier might be advisable. In spring, it is the flowers that first appear and afterwards the foliage. Combining Butterbur with Leopard Plant (Ligularia), Cordgrass (Spartina) or Mountain Fleece (Persicaria amplexicaulis) looks good.
