Petasites - Butterbur

Petasites is a perennial for in moist, rich soil. It is ideal along a water's edge. Petasites is invasive, so a root barrier might be advisable. In spring, it is the flowers that first appear and afterwards the foliage. Combining Petasites with Ligularia, Spartina or Persicaria amplexicaulis looks good.
