General information about Plantain (Plantago):
Plantain (Plantago) can be found all over the world in the wild, but there are also a few varieties cultivated for in the garden. These varieties of Plantain have differing foliage or flowers. Plantain is not fussy where it grows. A spot in the sun, in normal soil is fine. Plant Plantain in the border or in a pot for on the patio. Seedlings of Plantain often revert back to the plain varieties, so it is best to cut away the spent flower stems to stop seed forming.
