Plume Poppy

Plume Poppy  (Macleaya)

Plume Poppy (Macleaya) is not a fussy plant and in not too heavy soil grow and spread happily. Give it some space. Plume Poppy is ideal for in half wild areas of the garden or against that ugly fence. The foliage of Plume Poppy has a nice shape and colour. The plume shaped flowers sit nicely above this. The orange milk sap of Plume Poppy can be stubborn to remove from your clothing. Plant Plume Poppy next to other big plants, such as Hemp Agrimony (Eupatorium), Sunflower (Helianthus) and Maiden Grass (Miscanthus).
