General information about Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum):Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum) is a genus of slow growing woodland perennials. Solomon's Seal grows with long stems from the ground, mostly slightly hanging over. At the bottom of the leaf nodes Solomon's Seal forms hanging flowers which develop into small berries. Most varieties like a spot in the half shade, in humus rich soil. More sun is tolerated as long as the soil is moist enough. The foliage of Solomon's Seal often colours lovely yellow in autumn. For a nice combination, plant Solomon's Seal together with ferns, Hosta (Hosta), Japanese Forest Grass (Hakonechloa) or Dusky Cranesbill (Geranium phaeum).David's Harp - Polygonatum multiflorum
