Purslane

Purslane  (Montia)

Purslane (Montia) is a forgotten vegetable with nice flowers. The plant is good as a ground cover in (half)shade in normal to moist soil. There, Purslane will freely self-seed, which is good as Purslane does usually not live for very long. If grown like this you can regularly harvest leaves for in the salad. If it spreads too much, they are easily weeded.
