General information about Mexican Hat (Ratibida):Mexican Hat (Ratibida) is a plant that strongly resembles Coneflower (Rudbeckia), but then with an obvious large cone in the centre of the flower. Mexican Hat is well hardy but can be lost if too wet, especially in winter. Mexican Hat wants full sunshine and a well-draining, normal to dry, poor soil. Mexican Hat is also a good cut flower. The plant fits perfectly in a natural planting in sandy soil. Good neighbour plants for Mexican Hat are Giant Hyssop (Agastache), Yarrow (Achillea), Feather Grass (Stipa) and Globe Thistle (Echinops).Long-Head Coneflower - Ratibida columnifera pulcherrima
