Ratibida

Ratibida - Mexican Hat

Ratibida is a plant that strongly resembles Rudbeckia, but then with an obvious large cone in the centre of the flower. Ratibida is well hardy but can be lost if too wet, especially in winter. Ratibida wants full sunshine and a well-draining, normal to dry, poor soil. Ratibida is also a good cut flower. The plant fits perfectly in a natural planting in sandy soil. Good neighbour plants for Ratibida are Agastache, Achillea, Stipa and Echinops.
