General information about Red Star (Rhodohypoxis):
Red Star (Rhodohypoxis) is a genus of tuber forming plants with small star-shaped flowers. Red Star wants a spot in the full sun in slight acidic, well-draining soil. During flowering the need moisture and feed, but avoid too much moisture in winter. It is not easy to get Red Star through the winter with us. They are probably best planted in pots with can be placed somewhere dry, under a covering in winter. This way they will take a light frost. Red Star is a thankful little plant for on the patio table.
