General information about Hybrid Red Star (Rhodoxis):
Hybrid Red Star (Rhodoxis) is a genus of tuberous plants with small star shaped flowers. Hybrid Red Star wants a spot in the full sun in well-draining, slightly acidic soil. During flowering the need moisture and feed, but avoid too much moisture in winter. It is not easy to get Hybrid Red Star through the winter with us. They are probably best planted in pots with can be placed somewhere dry, under a covering in winter. This way they will take a light frost. Hybrid Red Star is a thankful little plant for on the patio table. Hybrid Red Star is a cross between Stargrass and Red Star. There is slight confusion over the three geneses. Some cultivars are being offered under different geneses.
