Ruscus Bamboo  (Shibataea)

Ruscus Bamboo (Shibataea) is a genus of about 8 species of ever green middle high bamboo's with underground rhizomes that do not become invasive. Ruscus Bamboo is not too fussy where it grows but prefers slight moist, lime free soil in half shade. Ruscus Bamboo will withstand frost well but because they shoot quite early in spring, the new shoots may sustain some frost damage. You could always through some fleece over them.
