Sainfoin

Sainfoin  (Onobrychis)

Esparcet (Onobrychis) is a genus of the Leguminosae. The plants resemble Lupinus in terms of flowering, but they are much smaller. Some species of Esparcet are used as fodder or as green manure. Several species occur wild in Europe. The flowers are loved by bees. Esparcet likes to be in full sun in a spot with sufficient water. Esparcet comes into its own best in a meadow vegetation where the plant can support against other plants.
