Sandwort  (Arenaria)

Sandwort (Arenaria) is a low-growing, mat-forming plant. The plants often forms a mesh of inter twined creeping stems with small green to grey-green foliage. Most species of Sandwort have small white flowers which cover the whole plant. Sandwort grows well in full sun and normal to slight moist soil. It does not like wet feet, especially in the winter. Nice for in the rockery.
