Savory (Satureja) is a genus of annual (Satureja hortensis) and perennial (Satureja montana) plants. The leaves are used with beans and meat dishes, where the perennials have a stronger taste as the annuals. Plant Savory in well-draining soil in the full sun in the garden or in a pot. Savory, because of its late flowering, is a good plant for bees.
