Scabwort  (Raoulia)

Scabwort (Raoulia) is a very low growing ground cover from Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania. Scabwort wants a spot in the sun and in no circumstances be wet. The plant is best in the rockery where it will creep nicely over rocks. Protect Scabwort against icy winds by covering them with some conifer branches. Scabwort is also good in a pot. A nice combination is planting Scabwort together with small groups of dark leaved Houseleek (Sempervivum).
