Schmiele  (Deschampsia)

Schmiele ist eine Gattung überwiegend wintergrüner Gräser. Sie besitzen anmutige Rispen und zeigen im Winter eine schöne Silhouette. Schmiele ist ein robustes Gras, das Sie sehr gut in großen Gruppen pflanzen können. Den Boden eventuell mit etwas Kompost anreichern. Der bevorzugte Standort der Schmiele ist sonnig bis halbschattig. Es gibt Arten mit farbigem Blatt; diese können sich im Laufe der Zeit zu der normalen grünen Farbe zurückentwickeln. An manchen Stellen kann sich die Schmiele selbst aussäen. Dies können Sie verhindern, indem Sie die verblühten Ähren rechtzeitig wegschneiden. Die Schmiele passt gut in eine natürliche Pflanzung und bildet mit u. a. Prachtspiere (Astilbe) und Sonnenhut (Rudbeckia) eine schöne Kombination.
