Scleranthus is a genus of low growing plants. Some species are classed as agricultural weeds, others species are nice rockery plants, although not the easiest to grow. Especially too much moisture for these species will kill Scleranthus. Plant these on a slight slope so that excess water will flow away. Scleranthus likes the full sun. In the summer small flowers will appear. Try combining Scleranthus in the rockery with Delosperma, Erodium or Sempervivum.
