Sesleria is a clump forming, evergreen grass for in the full sun or half shade. They are tough plants with some species that flower nicely or some that have leaves with varying colours on their top and bottom sides. Sesleria likes a good, fertile soil which has to drain well. It does not mind lime in the soil. Use a group of Sesleria as a ground cover, for example between taller grasses. Sesleria also does well in a pot.
