Shamrock Plant

Shamrock Plant  (Oxalis)

Shamrock Plant (Oxalis) is a large genus of which nearly all species have the typical 3-bladed clover leaf. Shamrock Plant has corm-like roots which can be split to produce new plants. There are hardy and non-hardy species. See the information provided with each variety. The deciduous species often have nice flowers and foliage and are also good for in a pot on the patio. Winter the pot somewhere frost free. For in the garden, plant Shamrock Plant in half shade in humus rich, normally moist soil. When happy, Shamrock Plant can form a nice mat.
