General information about Shooting Star (Dodecatheon):Shooting Star (Dodecatheon) is a low growing spring flowering perennial with hanging flowers with folded back petals. The flowers resemble those of Hardy Cyclamen (Cyclamen). Give Shooting Star a nice spot in the garden without any competition of other plants. Shooting Star disappears underground in early summer and will re-appear early next spring. Plant in half shade in fertile, well-draining soil which contains little lime. Good neighbouring plants for Shooting Star are Barrenwort (Epimedium), Lilyturf (Liriope) and small ferns.Shooting Star - Dodecatheon meadia 'Aphrodite'
