Sonnenhut  (Rudbeckia)

Sonnenhut (Rudbeckia) ist eine aufrechte Pflanze mit Blüten, die denen der Margerite ähneln und einen großen gewölbten Blütenboden haben. Sie dürfen im Garten nicht fehlen, locken viele Schmetterlinge und andere Insekten an und sind auch gute Schnittblumen. Auch nach der Blütezeit sehen die verblühten Blumen noch lange dekorativ aus. Die Pflanzen brauchen einen Standort in der Sonne und auf einem trockenen bis normalen Boden mit ausreichend Nährstoffen. Halbschatten ist auch möglich, aber dann blüht der Sonnenhut nicht so üppig.
Innerhalb der Gattung Rudbeckia sind die Arten 'hirta' und 'triloba' nicht langlebig. Wenn Sie sie regelmäßig teilen, können Sie damit die Lebensdauer verlängern. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass der Sonnenhut nach dem Pflanzen nicht zu viel Konkurrenz von aufdringlichen Nachbarpflanzen bekommt. Der Sonnenhut braucht Platz, um sich entwickeln zu können. Er kann ausgezeichnet im Beet verwendet werden, ist im Präriegarten aber einfach unentbehrlich.
