General information about Dropseed (Sporobolus):Dropseed (Sporobolus) is a grass genus found all over the world. They are clump forming, medium tall grasses that like to be in the sun. Dropseed is not too fussed about the soil or moisture levels. The plants grow slow but are long lived. A nice addition is that Dropseed is one of the few grasses that have a nice scent. For a good combination, plant Dropseed together with Coneflower (Rudbeckia), tall Stonecrop (Sedum), Beebalm (Monarda) or Blazing Star (Liatris).Prairie Dropseed - Sporobolus heterolepis 'Blue Fog'
