Sporobolus

Sporobolus

Sporobolus - Dropseed

Sporobolus is a grass genus found all over the world. They are clump forming, medium tall grasses that like to be in the sun. Sporobolus is not too fussed about the soil or moisture levels. The plants grow slow but are long lived. A nice addition is that Sporobolus is one of the few grasses that have a nice scent. For a good combination, plant Sporobolus together with Rudbeckia, tall Sedum, Monarda or Liatris.
