General information about Stitchwort (Stellaria):Stitchwort (Stellaria) is a genus of plants from the Carnation (Dianthus) family. Just about all have lying stems and white flowers. There are only a few species of Stitchwort suitable for in the garden. Stitchwort is best for in the woodland garden or in hedges, in light to half shade. The soil may be dry to normal. A nice combination is with Hosta (Hosta) or Great Forget-me-not (Brunnera). Also in troughs on the balcony Stitchwort does well and will hang nicely over the edges. Then you could plant Stitchwort together with Serbian Bellflower (Campanula poscharskyana) or Bloody Cranesbill (Geranium sanguineum).Greater Stitchwort - Stellaria holostea
