General information about Persian Shield (Strobilanthes):
Persian Shield (Strobilanthes) has nettle-like leaves and flowers like those of Sage, only with a slight bend in them. Persian Shield likes a spot in the sun or half shade in fertile soil. They are plants which flower late in the season and are therefore a welcome addition to the border. Persian Shield combines nice with Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum) and Japanese Anemone (Anemone).
