Strobilanthes - Persian Shield

Strobilanthes has nettle-like leaves and flowers like those of Salvia, only with a slight bend in them. Strobilanthes likes a spot in the sun or half shade in fertile soil. They are plants which flower late in the season and are therefore a welcome addition to the border. Strobilanthes combines nice with Chrysanthemum and Anemone.
