Süßholz  (Glycyrrhiza)

Süßholz ist eine Gattung von ungefähr 20 Arten Hülsenfrüchtlern. Süßholz hat gefiederte Blätter und kleine Schmetterlingsblumen, die schöne Samenkapseln bilden. Glycyrrhiza glabra ist bekannt als Echtes Süßholz. Die Wurzeln dieser Pflanze werden auch als Grundstoff für Lakritz benutzt. Süßholz wächst gerne an einem Standort in der vollen Sonne auf einem normalen Boden. Süßholz ist stark und ziemlich winterhart, zur Sicherheit können Sie die Pflanze im ersten Jahr etwas abdecken.

General information about Sweetwood (Glycyrrhiza):
Sweetwood (Glycyrrhiza) is a genus of about 20 species. Sweetwood has feathered leaves and small pea like flowers which form nice seed pods. Sweetwood glabra we know as liquorice. It likes a spot in the full sun in a normal soil and is reasonably hardy. We would recommend some protection in the first few winters.
