Sun Roses (Helianthemum) are long flowering, hardy, half-shrubs which like a spot in the full sun in dry ground. Sun Rose is best in the rockery but also for in dry troughs where the stems will hang nicely over the edges. After flowering, Sun Rose needs to be trimmed back slightly. This will help keeping the plants healthy and compact. In the winter protect the plants from icy easterly winds with a layer of dead leaves.
