General information about Foam Flower (Tiarella):Foam Flower (Tiarella) is a genus of low growing plants which are ideal as ground covers. The mostly white or pink flowers stand like candles above the foliage. Sometimes the plants might flower for months on end. Over the last few years a lot of new cultivars have come to market which still have to prove themselves. Many of these new varieties have lovely marked leaves that colour nice in autumn. Foam Flower likes a spot in (half)shade in a loose, humus rich soil which is not too dry. The plant forms small off-shoots and will form a nice mat. Foam Flower is good for planting at the base of shrubs. Also in the front line of the border, Foam Flower is a good plant and combines nicely there with Japanese Forest Grass (Hakonechloa), Great Forget-me-not (Brunnera), Dusky Cranesbill (Geranium phaeum) and small ferns.Heart-Leaf Foamflower - Tiarella cordifolia 'Eco'
