Weiderich  (Lythrum)

Weiderich ist eine gut winterharte Staude, die sowohl im natürlichen Garten als auch im Beet gut verwendet werden kann. Alle Weiderich-Arten mögen einen normalen bis feuchten Boden in der Sonne oder im leichten Schatten. Der Weiderich blüht sehr reich und zieht viele Schmetterlinge an. An günstigen Standorten kann sich der Weiderich aussäen. Beobachten Sie dies und schneiden Sie die Stängel eventuell nach der Blüte ab. Dies wird auch empfohlen, wenn Sie die Kulturvarietäten rein halten möchten. Andernfalls können neue Tochterpflänzchen in der Mitte der Pflanze wachsen, deren Farbe sich von der der Mutter unterscheidet. Gute Nachbarpflanzen für den Weiderich sind z. B. Sumpf-Schwertlilie (Iris pseudacorus), Dotterblume (Caltha), Hängende Segge (Carex pendula) und Goldkolben (Ligularia).
