Whorlflower

Whorlflower  (Morina)

Whorlflower (Morina) is a plant which is not seen a lot, maybe because of the fact that its leaves look like those of thistles. This is a shame as the flowers of Whorlflower are beautiful and attract many butterflies and other insects. Whorlflower is well hardy as long as does not have wet feet. It likes a spot in the sun in normal, slight alkaline soil. Good partners for Whorlflower are low growing plants, such as Lamb's Ear (Stachys byzantina), Blue Fescue (Festuca glauca) and Bloody Cranesbill (Geranium).
