Ysander

Ysander  (Pachysandra)

Ysander ist eine zuverlässige, bodendeckende Staude, die in der Regel gut wintergrün ist. Sollte der Ysander nach einem strengen Winter doch etwas beschädigt aussehen, können Sie die Pflanze ruhig ganz zurückschneiden. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit bildet sich wieder ein neuer Teppich. Der Ysander breitet sich durch unterirdische Ausläufer aus und ist darum dafür geeignet, große Flächen, z. B. unter Sträuchern und Bäumen, zuwachsen zu lassen. Als einzelne Pflanze sieht der Ysander etwas unordentlich aus. Pflanzen Sie ihn darum in Gruppen. Wenn der Ysander unter Bäumen steht, brauchen Sie im Herbst das Laub der Bäume nicht wegzuräumen, es vermodert gut zwischen den Ysander-Pflanzen. Der beste Standort für den Ysander ist der (Halb-)Schatten auf einem humusreichen, leicht sauren Boden mit normaler Feuchtigkeit. Sie können ihn an schwierigen Stellen z. B. mit Balkan-Storchschnabel (Geranium macrorrhizum) und Goldnessel (Lamiastrum) kombinieren.
